Giving Tuesday — “Give Strength. Give Guidance. Give Hope.”

Issue #112, December 2, 2025
Welcome Back, G-Tribe
Welcome to the G-Tribe — our GROW-Tribe. (Where Guidance Redefines Our Way)
It’s the community of parents, mentors, and young men committed to growing every week through guidance, leadership, and real-life lessons.
If you’re new, you’re part of the family now.
Today is Giving Tuesday.
A day the world gives back.
A day we remember that every small act of kindness changes a life.
At A Few Good MENtors, we pour into boys who need direction, support, and consistency.
Your support helps us continue that work.
Today, we’re asking you to stand with us.
Growth Spotlight: Why Giving Matters
Your giving helps boys:
Build confidence
Strengthen academic skills
Develop leadership habits
Improve mental and emotional health
Gain access to positive male role models
Stay grounded and focused in school and life
Every dollar reaches a real boy with real challenges and real dreams.
You’re not giving to a nonprofit.
You’re investing in futures.
Success Spotlight: What Your Giving Makes Possible
Here’s what your support funded this year:
Weekly mentoring sessions
School supply drives
Health, literacy, and etiquette lessons
Youth activities across the DMV
Community service projects
Parent support tools
Mentor training resources
Every win came from someone who chose to give.
Michael’s Hot Take: Why Today Matters
Here’s the truth.
Our boys need more than motivation.
They need structure.
They need consistency.
They need examples worth following.
Your giving fuels that.
Every dollar gives us the power to:
Train more mentors
Support more families
Reach new communities
Add more boys to the program
Build new systems, events, and curriculum
If you’ve ever said, “I want to help,” today is the perfect day to act.
Give from your heart.
Give from your strength.
Give because someone once gave to you.
Call to Action: 3 Ways to Give Today
Choose one:
1. Give a Gift
Your donation keeps AFGM strong.
2. Become a Monthly Partner
Support boys every month with a simple recurring gift.
3. Sponsor a Mentee for 2026
Your support covers mentoring, leadership training, outings, and development tools.
Where to give:
Try This With Your Mentee
Talk about one person who believed in you growing up.
Ask him who he looks up to — and why.
Show him how giving creates leaders.
Parent Insight of the Week
Tell your son that generosity isn’t about money.
It’s about character — showing up when you’re needed.

Join A Few Good MENtors:
Be a Mentee: Learn what leadership looks like from men who've served something bigger than themselves.
Volunteer as a Mentor: If you're a veteran, your service isn't over. Young men need what you have to offer.
Share G.R.O.W.: Forward this newsletter to a veteran in your life and ask them how they're continuing to serve.
Real men don't just serve once. They serve for life, one mentee at a time, one example at a time, one act of leadership at a time.
